Printer Rage!

I’ve got a scary printer!

Jane VS World is my BenFoldsToCleo.com

I just found one of my favorite bands of the year. It’s a girl-duo fronted piano driven power pop group from Austrailia with very geeky internet-laden lyrics and fun times all over! Hence the Ben Folds, Letter’s to Cleo, .com reference in the title. ^^;

You see the picture of the girls on the side? Can you picture what kind of music they make? Yeah. It sounds exactly how they look – completely fun, bright, and geeky! Check out their album entitled “56k Hearts“!

Here’s a track called “I Used To Write Bad Poetry”:

And a the OFFICIAL video for the song “B Grade Lisa Loeb”. I just LOVE that kazoo solo. It gets me EVERY TIME! XD

Mega Man III… WITH LYRICS!

They says Megaman II has the best music, but I just LOVE III’s theme sooo much, and this makes it X times better.

Yeah, I’ll stop using Roman numerals from now on.

Think about your salvation story.

Hmm… I just want to think about my salvation story. Or my “testimony” as people call it. Maybe I’ll type it out someday.

Ya know. It’s still amazing. I don’t think it will ever be non-amazing. I mean. All the sin, past, present and future, paid for by Christ’s death. I don’t deserve any of it. Man, how could I sometimes NOT want to praise God?

If you’re a believer, think about your salvation story. I’ve realized its a really healthy thing to do. It really reminds you of what makes you a Christian. Not because you’re better than anyone else, not because you do what’s “good” and “right”. Cause guess what. WE DON’T DO WHAT’S GOOD AND RIGHT. It’s all on Christ’s end. All we did was realize it.

And if you’re not a believer, this is all that being a believer is. Coming to this realization. Think about that. I apologize for all the legalism that’s been pushed around. Christ is Christianity, not the hate, not the bigotry. Christ wasn’t too fond of the religous in his day either. ^^;

Action Shots of Sumi!

Here’s the action shots of my Sumi!

Also, I found he story behind the mascots.

I PURCHASED A SPIRIT GUARDIAN.

It’s been three days since we washed up on the shores of, what I think is, Nova Scotia. The survivors, though few, are getting morose. And well, I’m getting concerned – as if, somehow it’s my fault. It’s only been three days.

Actually, it was about this time, a day prior, that a group of self-proclaimed “heroes” ventured out into the fog. Some of us believe that there is a small settlement past the forest just beyond the haze. This assumption has no backing and none have returned to assure us that it’s true. Our desperation for hope has driven some to blind faith – but I hope it’s true. I pray for them.

I’ve also noticed that there seems to be a large number of wooden memorials buried in the soil around this area. Nothing spectacular, just small figurines, about an arm’s length of a newborn – crude depictions of what seems to be a type of animal spirit guardian. A head of a beaver or squirrel but with wings like an eagle I’m not sure what to make of it, but it’s assuring somehow. Maybe it’s not that these spirits watching over calm me, but more, it’s more the absurd notion that I feel – that these figures were meant for us…

BUT SERIOUSLY.

We docked in Halifax today. I really like that name. HALIFAX. It’s cool. Like a band name. OH WAIT. ^^;

But um.. Not much to say, but I did pick up the cutest thing in Canada! Okay, so if you didn’t know the next Winter Olympics is being held in Vancouver in 2010. They had plushies of the mascots. And I have to say. I though the Beijing mascots were cute, but these…

They are THE CUTESTS LITTLE BUGGERS I’VE EVER SEEN!

I picked up Sumi.

GREETINGS FROM THE SEA!

It’s been a mighty fierce few days upon the briny seas. The crew is overworked and I keep hearing rumors of a munity abrewing. As for my self and my family, it’s rough. The stench of the steerage alone is exhausting to just wade through….

SERIOUSLY THOUGH.

It’s been fun. This is my first cruise and well, I didn’t know what to expect. It’s pretty much like a party all the time. Which really isn’t the kinda thing I’m into. I just like to relax and watch the sea pass by, Which I can thankfully do. ^_^

We docked in St John’s today and I had a lot of fun! ( I think I forgot to mention that this is a New England cruise to Canada.) Tomorrow is Halifax which should be even more fun!

I payed for WIFI access so I’ll cut it short. Gotta go!

Installing Ubuntu 8.04.1 Netbook Remix on my Aspire One.

AWWWWW!!!! I’m TOTALLY geeking out right now.

I’ve always dreamed of the day that I would main Linux as my OS. And yes. It’s the least “hardcore” of Linux distros, but come one! I don’t know why, but I’m SOOOOOOOO HYYYYYPPPPED!

You know, I’ve seen this XKCD comic around for a looooong time, but I’ve only really understood it untill recently. ^^;

Join me in a highfive. (Over the internets no less!)

I’m just testing out the webcam on the Aspire One. (Can you believe this is my first webcam ever?)
The native capture program outputs files in the .ogg format. (Oh Linux, you always have to be counterculture, don’t you?)

So just put your hand up the screen. And we can share a moment. Together. (Share? Together? Redundant, no?)

My new laptop is soooo small. How small? SMALL.

Hey guys! So I’m typing from my new laptop, the Acer Aspire One. If anyone out there follows tech, it’s in line with that new type of laptop that Asus started with it’s EEEPC brand. I’m really loving it! It utilized the new Intel Atom processor, runs a flavor of Linux and is like totally small. (6″x9″ and about 2lbs) Other noes are a built in webcam OH! and I saw an option for 3G support! Veeeery Iiiiiinteresting!

I’ll definitely be posting some action shots in the future. But for now you can watch a mini-review of it if you were wondering. ^^
